Rodrigo Serra
Drummer and percussionist, Rodrigo Serra is graduated in Music by the University of Londrina (UEL) located in the state of Paraná in Brazil and post-graduated in Popular Brazilian Music by the Paraná College of Arts (FAP) located in Curitiba - Brazil where he developed research work on Luciano Perrone (considered by many to be the "father" of Brazilian drums). Born in southern Brazil and currently lives in the city of Rio de Janeiro where he has been a drums and percussion teacher at the Villa-Lobos School of Music where he developed and deepened didactic material for these instruments. Also works playing drums, percussion and vibraphone in different instrumental groups (jazz and Brazilian music), acts on recordings of singers and band CDs , sountracks for soap operas and theater. He has performed with symphonic orchestras such as the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra (OSB) and the University of Londrina Symphony Orchestra (OSUEL). Has worked with different Brazilian artists and bands in many cities in Brazil, Europe and Asia. Since 2010 he has been part of the band of singer Daúde.
